Our Art Neighbourhood

Today was the opening of 'Our Art Neighbourhood' exhibition in leigh influenced by it's own project of inspiring over 300 children, young people and adults to get involved in art. Artists got involved in art and design workshops over the summer involving graffiti art, digital photography, textile sculpture and yarn bombing  The exhibition was filled with both artists and childrens work within the gallery and also made its way around Leigh, creating an art trail.

The art trail was such a great way of getting children excited in art and also empathise art being greatly important in communities, especially in this form of adding beauty. The Yarn bombing showed in theses images as transformed these strong and plain metal stands into vibrant and playful ones which as simply added more creative interest into its area.
