To publicize myself more, I decide I needed to become more involved with social media allowing me to share my work with a larger public in virtual communities and networks. I looked at the most popular internet-based applications (like blogger) which people use and for what purpose; to share pictures and videos or exchange and create ideas and information. the top five most popular with overall user numbers were Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Vine. (already having Twitter and Facebook)
Being on Facebook, I have already created a page from my profile for my artwork. To push my intentions further, I posted some artwork on my cover wall (an image that dominates your profile). Facebook is mainly to communicate to my friends and family so the communities is limited to who I invite. Twitter, instagram and Pinterest allows anyone to view your posts so I made a profile for each. I decided Instagram based on imagery was more professional to post the work and Twitter to post events, links and create contacts. The profiles our all still in working process.
It is clear from the imagery, facebook in more informal.
