My first year was full of fun and excitement, building the foundations of my professional practice. My first year was combination by four projects which I completed throughout my first year studying. Within them projects I studied four disciplines, Fine Art, Graphics, Textiles and Product design.
Mechanical
This was my second project experimenting with my disciplines and the Mechanical Industry. It was the first time producing outcomes from each area individuality as an outcome within the same project. To influence the project I visited the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester, as also known as MOSI. The museum was filled with; old steam train parts such as the engines and mechanical parts surrounding the remaining aspects, factory machines from mills and vehicles from motorcycles to old war planes.

Fine Art - Lino Prints
These are four prints I have produced from my series. The compositions are influenced by... and an abstract artist, Stuart Davis for his unusual compositions and placement, as well as colour. Within these prints, I really wanted to experiment with pattern from a structure I admired within the project and experiment with Davis technique of placement.
Textile Pieces
These are four textile piece inspired by mechanical formal elements, mostly shape. I research an textile artist called Dawn Dupree, well known for their pillows inspired by abandoned domestic objects which also inspired me with her use of outlook with shape.
Graphics - MOSI Poster
Both of these poster designs were influenced by the MOSI museum - having a composition built up from displays within the museum I had decided to produce a poster to advertise the museum with an artist approach and aim at audience younger or round about 20 - for students and youth. I researched an art called Francis Picabia, who was heavily inspired by the mechanical world. It was his perspective for machinery I admired, how he recreated them within an composition.
Mechanical - Clay-ware
These are images of my kitchenware piece - jug and plate, inspired by Eduardo Paolozzi, an sculptor and artist. His sculptors were very complex with an machical natural influenced within them. I also wanted the mechanical aspects within my piece to the point i decided to engrave them with nails, clogs and skews

Fine Art - Lino and Etching Prints
These are four prints I have produced from my series. The compositions are influenced by sea life and insects, as well as Fine Artist, Henri Matisse's own print work, - also inspired by sea-life. Henri Matisse is one of whom I mostly admired for his artist fair with colour and have studied his colour theory as an inspiration. From my prints, I really wanted to experiment with Matisse technique of simple shapes and colour - to be successful in the technique and create aesthetically pleasing prints.
I had then go on to experimenting with etching prints. These are two from the series, also taking characterizes from sea life and insects, but influenced by Pablo Picasso prints and techniques.
Textiles - Skirt
This is my final outcome for textiles inspired by a butterflies shapes and pattern. I was influenced by textile artist Alison Willoughby style and skirts, as well as print artist Angie Lewin for her use of colour and techniques. My aim was to produce a skirt like Willoughby's with recycled materials, being influenced by both artists with natural frameworks.
Graphics - Postcards
These is the complete series of postcards inspired by the four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, influence by Typographer Stefan Sagmeister and Illustrator Nadia Flower. My proposal was by using the seasons words and features in individual postcards to represent them, but to create interest, two postcard from the four to be influence by different graphic designers inspired by Natural framework.
3D Design - Body Adornment
These images are modelling my body adornment inspired/development from insects and inspired by Anndra Neen - a line of jewellery designed by sisters, Phoebe and Annette Stephens.
