Minutes...
Within the second meeting we discussed possible funding activities because of the cost to rent an exhibition space. We previously attended a meeting at Bolton University with the artists within the second year, Canverse Collective. They presented information that they plan to exhibit for 2 weeks within an art gallery in Manchester which is currently £1000. We being foursight art, thought generally that this cost was way over budget and 2 weeks was only a short amount of time available to exhibit. It was decided that alternative ideas about venues were required. As a response, we had arranged 'to do list' for individuals, presenting everyone with a team role position. We also established a facebook group in order to access a cheap and accessible way of communicating at all hours - Enabling us to be more organised as a team and successful at achieves goals and assessing needs. Our current aims are to discussed and make suggestions regarding sponsors and places to exhibit which will be presentation at the next meeting as well as producing an proposals for a live belief for the graphics department to design us a Logo to the Group. We thought seeking aid from graphics would be more beneficial as they have a stronger background in the area of product advertising and logo design - The logo would be more professional.
After the meeting, I choose to email two exhibition executives, one from Leigh Turnpike Gallery and St Helens World of Glass Art Gallery in regards to making a proposal to exhibit.
